Celebration of World Quantum Day on April 14
March 30, 2022
QuanTime/Wonders of Physics Activity Kits
QuanTime will run from April 11-May 31, 2022. During this time, we will introduce hundreds of classrooms around the country quantum science through vetted, engaging quantum activities. The activities we are sharing have been designed for K-12 and are a fun way to introduce middle and high school students to quantum information science. You can choose between online or a hands-on activity from HQAN’s Wonders of Quantum Physics program. No teacher expertise in quantum science is required. HQAN has committed to sending out 1000 of the Wonders of Quantum Physics electron transition activity kits to classrooms across the U.S.
Quantum Information Science (QIS) Poster Session/Competition 5-7PM – Loomis Lobby - Open to Public
Over 20 posters on various quantum information science topics will be presented by undergraduate and graduate researchers within HQAN and IQUIST. Presenters will include students from Physics, Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Materials Science. This quantum celebration will be advertised to the campus and broader public and will include food and refreshments.
IQUIST Laboratory Tours will be offered to the university campus and the students to learn more about the amazing technology behind some of the QIS experiments on-campus. Also, LabEscape returns with new quantum-related challenges for World Quantum Day, April 14, and missions will continue to be available until April 17. Book your mission time today!
